- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 recommended)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce or mixed greens
- 1 cup diced ripe tomatoes
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onion
- 1/2 cup pickle slices
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup classic burger sauce (ketchup, mustard, mayo, relish blend)
- Optional toppings: crispy fried onions, avocado slices, bacon bits, jalapeños
Instructions
- Season & Cook Meat: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Break it apart and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until no longer pink, then drain excess fat.
- Prep Veggies: While the meat cooks, wash and chop your lettuce, dice tomatoes, and slice red onion and pickles.
- Assemble Base: Divide the chopped lettuce or greens among four serving bowls.
- Add Protein: Spoon the cooked, seasoned ground beef over the lettuce in each bowl.
- Top & Sauce: Arrange diced tomatoes, sliced red onion, pickles, and shredded cheddar cheese over the meat. Drizzle generously with burger sauce and add any optional toppings you desire. Serve immediately.
