- 24 fresh, firm strawberries, with green tops
- 10–12 oz (280-340g) high-quality chocolate (dark, milk, or white), chopped or good quality chips
- Optional: 1/2 – 1 tsp coconut oil (for shinier, thinner coating)
- Optional: Sprinkles, chopped nuts, shredded coconut for decoration
Instructions
- 1. Prepare: Wash and thoroughly pat dry all strawberries, leaving the green tops intact. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
- 2. Melt Chocolate: Using either the microwave (30-second intervals, stirring) or a double boiler, gently melt the chocolate until smooth. Stir in coconut oil if using.
- 3. Dip Strawberries: Hold a strawberry by its green cap, dip into the melted chocolate, twirling to coat. Tap gently against the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
- 4. Decorate & Set: Immediately place the dipped strawberry on the prepared baking sheet. Add any desired toppings. Repeat with remaining strawberries. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
