Dubai Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cups

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 12-16 cups 1x

Description

These elegant Dubai Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cups feature juicy, fresh strawberries coated in a rich, vibrant chocolate shell. They are a perfect bite-sized dessert that’s both easy to make and impressive to serve.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (approx. 16-20 large) fresh, ripe strawberries
  • 10 oz (about 1 ¾ cups) high-quality melting chocolate (dark, milk, or white chocolate chips/bars)
  • 12 tsp refined coconut oil (or vegetable shortening)
  • Optional toppings: chopped pistachios, sprinkles, melted white chocolate for drizzling, edible glitter

Instructions

  • 1. Prepare Strawberries: Gently wash and thoroughly pat dry all strawberries. Ensure they are completely free of moisture. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
  • 2. Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chopped chocolate and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring well after each, until smooth. Alternatively, melt using a double boiler.
  • 3. Dip Strawberries: Holding a strawberry by its stem, dip it into the melted chocolate, coating about two-thirds to three-quarters of the berry. Lift, allowing excess chocolate to drip off, and gently tap the stem against the bowl’s rim.
  • 4. Decorate (Optional): Immediately after dipping, if desired, sprinkle with chopped nuts or sprinkles. If drizzling with white chocolate, do this after the main chocolate coating has set.
  • 5. Chill and Set: Place dipped strawberries on the prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely firm and set. Serve chilled.
