Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (12-count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1.5 lbs thinly sliced deli roast beef
- 6–8 slices provolone cheese (or Swiss)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- For the Au Jus:
- 4 cups beef broth (or consommé)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Optional: Caramelized onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Slice the sheet of sweet rolls horizontally through the middle. Place the bottom halves of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
- Layer half of the roast beef evenly over the bottom rolls. If using, spread caramelized onions over the beef. Top with half of the provolone slices. Repeat layers with remaining beef and cheese. Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, salt, and pepper. Generously brush the mixture over the tops of the slider buns.
- Cover the baking dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly, and tops are golden brown.
- While sliders bake, prepare au jus: In a medium saucepan, combine beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and keep warm.
- Remove sliders from oven, slice, and serve immediately with warm au jus for dipping.
