- 1 large, all-butter croissant
- 2 large eggs
- 1–2 slices of cheese (cheddar, provolone, or Swiss)
- 2–3 strips cooked bacon, 1 sausage patty, or 2 slices ham
- (Optional) Handful of arugula, 1-2 thin tomato slices, 1/4 avocado (sliced)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Butter or cooking spray for eggs
Instructions
- 1. Prepare the Croissant: Preheat oven/toaster oven to 350°F (175°C). Carefully slice the croissant horizontally, leaving a hinge. Warm in the oven for 3-5 minutes until warm and slightly crisp.
- 2. Cook Eggs: While croissant warms, cook eggs in a non-stick pan with butter or cooking spray. Fry, scramble, or fold to your desired doneness, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- 3. Cook Meat: Cook bacon until crispy, sausage until browned, or warm ham.
- 4. Assemble: Place cheese on bottom half of warm croissant. Add cooked egg, then breakfast meat. If using, add arugula, tomato, and avocado. Top with other half of croissant.
- 5. Serve: Press gently and serve your flaky croissant breakfast sandwich immediately while warm and delicious!
