- 8 oz (226g) full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (approx. 80g) fresh strawberries, finely diced
- 20–25 wonton wrappers
- 2–3 cups neutral oil for frying (e.g., vegetable, canola, peanut)
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in diced strawberries.
- Lay out a wonton wrapper. Place a heaping teaspoon of filling in the center. Moisten edges with water. Fold into a triangle and press firmly to seal.
- Heat oil in a deep pot to 350-375°F (175-190°C). Fry wontons in batches for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm.
