  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (approx. 80g) fresh strawberries, finely diced
  • 2025 wonton wrappers
  • 23 cups neutral oil for frying (e.g., vegetable, canola, peanut)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gently fold in diced strawberries.
  • Lay out a wonton wrapper. Place a heaping teaspoon of filling in the center. Moisten edges with water. Fold into a triangle and press firmly to seal.
  • Heat oil in a deep pot to 350-375°F (175-190°C). Fry wontons in batches for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Serve warm.
