- 1 package (17.3 oz) frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded low-moisture, part-skim mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1 large egg, beaten with 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
- Optional: 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Optional: 1/2 tsp dried Italian herbs
- Optional: 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- 1. Prepare Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2. Unroll Pastry: Gently unroll one sheet of thawed puff pastry onto the prepared baking sheet.
- 3. Layer Fillings: Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the pastry, leaving a 1/2-inch border along one long edge. Sprinkle with mozzarella and pepperoni.
- 4. Roll & Seal: Starting from the long edge opposite the border, tightly roll the pastry into a log. Press the seam to seal.
- 5. Slice: Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 1-inch thick slices. Place slices on the baking sheet, 1 inch apart.
- 6. Bake: Brush with egg wash. Sprinkle with optional garlic powder, Italian herbs, and Parmesan. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed. Serve warm!
