Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (or plant-based yogurt)
  • 12 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced (divided)

Instructions

  • In a 16-ounce jar or container, combine rolled oats and chia seeds. Stir well.
  • Add milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are combined and no dry spots remain.
  • Gently fold in half of the sliced fresh strawberries.
  • Cover the jar and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight.
  • The next morning, stir the oats. If too thick, add a splash of milk. Top with the remaining fresh strawberries and your desired garnishes before serving.
