- 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt (or plant-based yogurt)
- 1–2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced (divided)
Instructions
- In a 16-ounce jar or container, combine rolled oats and chia seeds. Stir well.
- Add milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are combined and no dry spots remain.
- Gently fold in half of the sliced fresh strawberries.
- Cover the jar and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight.
- The next morning, stir the oats. If too thick, add a splash of milk. Top with the remaining fresh strawberries and your desired garnishes before serving.
