Instructions

  • Wash, core, and slice apples into 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick fry-like sticks.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Gradually add milk to the dry ingredients, whisking until a smooth batter forms.
  • Dip apple slices into the batter, ensuring each piece is evenly coated; let excess drip off.
  • Heat 2-3 inches of oil in a deep skillet to 350-375°F (175-190°C).
