Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken thighs, sliced thinly
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 servings ramen noodles (without seasoning packet)
- 2 green onions, sliced, for garnish
- Optional garnishes: soft-boiled eggs, sriracha, chili oil, sesame seeds
Instructions
- Step 1: Prep Your Chicken. Season sliced chicken thighs with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add oil and sear chicken until browned and cooked through (3-5 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- Step 2: Cook the Ramen Noodles. Boil water in a separate pot. Cook ramen noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Step 3: Build the Flavor Base. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in chicken broth and soy sauce, bringing to a gentle simmer.
- Step 4: Create the Creamy Sauce. Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream and allow to warm through (do not boil). Add sesame oil and season with salt/soy sauce to taste.
- Step 5: Combine & Serve. Add cooked ramen noodles and seared chicken back into the creamy sauce, tossing to coat. Divide into bowls and garnish with sliced green onions and any optional toppings. Serve immediately.
