A deliciously cozy and comforting beverage blending robust black tea with the vibrant zest of fresh oranges and the warm spice of cinnamon. Perfect for any time of day, offering a creamy texture and balanced flavor.


Ingredients

  • 12 black tea bags or 1-2 tsp loose leaf black tea (Assam or Ceylon recommended)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 12 cinnamon sticks
  • Zest of 1/2 a medium orange (about 12 tsp)
  • 1/21 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy, e.g., oat, whole)
  • 12 tsp sweetener (maple syrup, honey, or sugar), to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare Tea Base: Steep black tea in 1 cup of boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Remove tea bags/infuser.
  • Infuse Flavors: Add cinnamon sticks and orange zest to the steeped tea. Gently simmer over medium-low heat for 5-7 minutes to infuse.
  • Add Milk & Sweetener: Stir in milk and heat until steamy, but not boiling. Remove from heat and stir in sweetener to taste.
  • Strain & Serve: Strain the milk tea into a mug, discarding solids. Enjoy hot. For iced, cool and pour over ice.
