- 1 sheet (17.3 oz) frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup red pepper jelly (or your preferred variety)
- Optional: 1 tbsp fresh chives, minced
- Optional: Pinch of garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Unfold thawed puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface. Cut into 12 equal squares.
- Gently press each pastry square into the wells of a regular muffin tin, creating a cup shape.
- In a small bowl, combine softened cream cheese and any optional enhancements (chives, garlic powder) until smooth.
- Divide cream cheese mixture evenly among the 12 puff pastry cups (about 1 tablespoon each).
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown and puffed, and cream cheese is set.
- Remove from oven. Immediately spoon about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of pepper jelly onto the top of each bite.
- Let cool in the muffin tin for 5-10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool slightly further before serving.
