Description

Unlock the best flavor of Sautéed Grilled Garlic Mushrooms with this step-by-step, easy to follow recipe. Perfect for any meal, these mushrooms are tender, savory, and wonderfully aromatic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs (approx. 680g) Cremini (baby bella) mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, divided
  • 45 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (or other fresh herbs like thyme/rosemary)
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • 1. Prepare Mushrooms: Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth; avoid rinsing. Trim stems and slice mushrooms into 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick pieces for even cooking.
  • 2. Sauté Mushrooms: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms in a single layer (cook in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding). Sauté for 3-5 minutes until browned and moisture has released.
  • 3. Add Garlic & Butter: Stir in minced garlic and butter to the skillet with the mushrooms. Continue to sauté for 1-2 minutes until garlic is fragrant and butter is melted, coating all mushrooms. Remove from heat.
  • 4. Grill Mushrooms: Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates. Transfer the sautéed mushrooms to the hot grill, spreading them in a single layer. Grill for 2-3 minutes per side, or until desirable char marks appear and mushrooms are tender-crisp.
  • 5. Finish & Serve: Return grilled mushrooms to a bowl. Season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Stir in fresh chopped parsley or your chosen herbs. Serve immediately and enjoy!
