These delightful Strawberry Brownie Kabobs combine rich, fudgy brownie bites with fresh, juicy strawberries for an irresistible treat. Perfect for parties or a sweet snack, they’re as beautiful as they are delicious.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pan (9×13 inch) fudgy brownies, baked and cooled
- 2 pints fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
- 18–24 wooden or metal skewers (6–8 inches long)
- Optional: 1/4 cup melted chocolate (dark, milk, or white) for drizzling
- Optional: Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- 1. Bake and Chill Brownies: Prepare your favorite fudgy brownie recipe or boxed mix (for a 9×13 inch pan). Bake according to instructions and allow to cool completely on a wire rack. For easiest, cleanest cuts, chill the brownies in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours, or up to overnight.
- 2. Cut Brownies: Once chilled, remove the brownies from the pan. Using a sharp, non-serrated knife, cut the brownies into uniform 1-inch (or slightly larger) squares. Wipe your knife clean between cuts for neat edges.
- 3. Prepare Strawberries: Wash the strawberries thoroughly. Hull them by removing the green caps and white core. If strawberries are very large, cut them in half to approximate the size of the brownie squares.
- 4. Assemble Kabobs: Carefully thread one brownie square onto a skewer, followed by one strawberry. Repeat this pattern, typically aiming for 2-3 brownie squares and 2-3 strawberries per skewer, starting and ending with a brownie for stability. Don’t overcrowd the skewer.
- 5. Finish and Serve: Arrange the assembled Strawberry Brownie Kabobs on a serving platter. If desired, drizzle with melted chocolate or dust lightly with powdered sugar for an extra flourish. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy.
