Description
Indulge in a rich, creamy, and aromatic Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea that’s easy to make at home. This recipe perfectly balances the warmth of cinnamon with the velvety sweetness of vanilla and your preferred milk.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 heaping teaspoons (or 2–4 tea bags) robust black tea (Assam or Ceylon recommended)
- 2 cups filtered water, freshly boiled
- 2 cinnamon sticks (or 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon)
- 1 cup milk (whole, 2%, oat, or almond milk)
- 1–2 tablespoons sweetener (granulated sugar, honey, or maple syrup), to taste
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Boil fresh, filtered water. Place black tea leaves and cinnamon sticks in a heatproof teapot or mug. Pour hot water over and steep for 3-5 minutes.
- While tea steeps, gently warm milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until steamy, but not boiling. Remove from heat.
- Stir sweetener and vanilla extract into the warm milk until dissolved. If using ground cinnamon, stir in here.
- Strain the steeped tea concentrate directly into two serving cups, removing tea leaves and cinnamon sticks.
- Pour the warm, sweetened, vanilla-infused milk into the tea. Stir gently to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired. Serve hot.
