- 2 tbsp loose-leaf jasmine green tea (or 4 tea bags)
- 1 cup hot water (175-185°F / 80-85°C)
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar (or to taste)
- 1 cup milk (whole dairy, oat, or soy recommended)
- Ice (optional, for iced version)
Instructions
- Heat water to 175-185°F (80-85°C). Place jasmine tea in a heatproof pitcher/mug. Pour hot water over tea and steep for 3-4 minutes. Strain tea leaves.
- While tea is still warm, stir in pure vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- Add granulated sugar to the warm tea and stir until completely dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness to your preference.
- Once the sweetened tea has cooled (or chilled), add your chosen milk. Stir gently until well combined.
- For iced tea, fill a glass with ice and pour milk tea over. For hot tea, gently reheat until warm (do not boil). Serve immediately.
