Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (13-14 ounce) package smoked kielbasa, pre-cooked
- 12–16 slices medium-cut bacon
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed (or pure maple syrup)
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (or balsamic vinegar)
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional, for heat)
- Wooden toothpicks (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with foil and set a wire rack on top.
- Slice kielbasa into 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick rounds. Cut each bacon slice in half crosswise.
- In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar (or maple syrup), apple cider vinegar (or balsamic), and chili flakes (if using). Whisk over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture simmers, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Wrap each kielbasa slice with a piece of bacon, securing with a toothpick if needed. Arrange seam-side down on the prepared wire rack, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bacon begins to crisp and kielbasa is heated through.
- Remove from oven and brush each bacon-wrapped kielbasa generously with the prepared glaze.
- Return to oven and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until glaze is bubbly and caramelized.
- Transfer to a serving platter and serve hot.
