  • 2428 oz jar marinara sauce (good quality)
  • ½ medium onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 cups shredded low-moisture, part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: ¼ cup Panko breadcrumbs for topping

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prep the Chicken: Pat chicken dry, pound to even thickness (½-¾ inch), and season with salt, pepper, and 1 tsp Italian seasoning.
  • Step 2: Layer Slow Cooker: Pour ½ cup marinara into the slow cooker. Arrange seasoned chicken over sauce. Top with 1 cup marinara, diced onion, minced garlic, and remaining Italian seasoning.
